Event Description
Ready to party? Jump into Minigame Mayhem, a no-pressure Mario Party Superstars minigames video game party where you can play, laugh, and take it easy!
Play or spectate, hop in and out as you please, and try out a game you might not have at home. No matter your age, identity, or skill level you’re welcomed at our events, we’ll even show you how to play! Our event ensures everyone gets to play plenty, not wait forever, and play against people of the same skill level. Earn collectible tickets for prizes, enjoy trivia between matches, and bring a DS or Switch for Animal Crossing, Pokémon trading, and Nintendo StreetPass. Come meet new people and enjoy some low-stress, Minigame Mayhem.
How the event works
JOIN THE PARTY: Before 2:30 PM check-in to sign up for our Mario Party Superstars minigames casual competition. After 2:30 PM ticket holders forfeit their spot.
3, 2, 1, START: We will call your matches and tell you where to go. You will sit down and play in pods of three to four across five minigames. At the end of your match, record what score you got on the scorecard given to you and report back to the organizers. Wait times between matches may be up to 10 minutes.
NEXT TURN: Each match afterwards you will face people that scored similar to you. We’ll try to get as many rounds in as we can. At the end of the event you can turn in your tickets for prizes or hold onto them for something bigger.
Rule Set
All matches are played in the following ruleset:
- 3-4 Players
- Free for all minigames
- 5 Rounds
Additional Info
How our casual competitions are better than traditional tournaments and freeplay
Our casual competition system uses the best of both traditional tournaments and free play with none of the drawbacks. Traditional tournaments give structure, but are stressful and people are eliminated quickly if they don’t know how to play well. Free play is less stressful, but without any structure people can be stuck waiting forever to play and skill disparities are unmanaged. Our casual competition system gives just enough structure so that everyone gets to play plenty and play against people close to their skill level while no one is ever eliminated.
Collectible Tickets & Prizes
At most of our events you can collect tickets to turn in for prizes. You can find a current list of our prizes here.
Physical Accessibility
The Raleigh Market has two parking lots with both having ADA parking spots.
Bathrooms
The Raleigh Market has a large bathroom building near the education and commercial buildings.
Kids and Young Children
We pride ourselves on being a family friendly place for all kids and their caregivers. We always make sure kids can have a great time by showing them how to play, setting up their controls, and matching them up with others who have the same level of experience as them. For caregivers, we offer a welcoming, low-pressure environment where you’re encouraged to relax on your own or play alongside your kids. We know that caregivers come in all forms, parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family, friends, chosen family, and we make sure everyone feels seen, respected, and included.
Inclusivity
Everyone is welcome regardless of race, gender identity, age, ability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, nationality, language, body size, neurodiversity, and their intersections. Our events are a space where you can be yourself. Please email us at hello@nceclecticesports.com with any concerns or accommodation requests. We will do our best to assist, though we cannot guarantee all requests can be fulfilled.
