3 Fun Ways To Practice Fighting Games

Fighting games can be intimidating and practice can be a boring, lonely grind. Whether you’re playing Street Fighter, Smash, or Tekken, these 3 fun yet enriching challenges you can do with a friend that integrate basic fighting game concepts.

1. Button masher

Have one player mash buttons. The other player tries to punish the spammer using movement and/or blocking and punishing. Switch places after landing a punish or the timer rounds out.

2. Tag You’re IT

Have one player be IT. Their goal is to hit the other player by any means necessary while the other uses their movement to dodge attacks. Switch places after landing a hit or the timer rounds out.

3. Escape Artist

One player puts themselves in the corner or off stage. Their goal is to get out through attacks and movements while the other player tries to keep them there. Make sure to switch places after either escaping the corner/edge or when the timer rounds out.
