RSVPs get priority for signing up in person. 24 player capacity\, arrive early to guarantee your spot!\n\n\n\n\n\nFree to Attend\n\n\n\nAll Ages Welcome!\n\n\n\n3109 Shannon Rd #201\, Durham\, NC 27707\n\n\n\nEvery First Saturday\, 3-5 PM\n\n\n\nSchedule\n\n\n\n\n3 PM: Free Play\n\n\n\n3:30 PM: Smash Ultimate Casual Competition Starts\n\n\n\n\nCasual Chaos is the Smash Ultimate casual competition made for players who just want to have fun. With silly game modes\, no eliminations until grand finals\, minimum wait times\, prizes for the top 4\, and a relaxed atmosphere\, it’s the perfect way to meet new friends and chill out! \n\n\n\nLow sodium environment for casual gamers\n\n\n\nNo experience required. This event is focused on having fun and creating hilarious memories. Players will start in a Swiss bracket playing in groups of four with silly game modes. Everyone will get to play multiple rounds until the end of the event. At the end of the event we will cut to our top players who will compete for prizes. Whether this will be your first time playing Smash Bros. or you’ve been playing for years and are looking for a more casual environment\, you are welcome here.  \n\n\n\nHow the event works\n\n\n\nCHOOSE YOUR CHARACTER: Before 3:30 PM check-in to sign up for our Smash Bros. Ultimate casual competition. RSVPing is not a guarantee of entry into the tournament\, but you do get priority. There is a 24 player cap and it is first come\, first serve. Come early to guarantee your spot! \n\n\n\nREADY\, GO: We will call your matches and tell you where to go. You will sit down and play in pods of four. At the end of your four person match\, record your placement on the scorecard given to you and report back to the organizers. Wait times between matches may be up to 20 minutes. \n\n\n\nNEW CHALLENGER: Each match afterwards you will face people that scored similar to you. Score high enough and you’ll make the cut  to play for prizes at the end of the event. \n\n\n\nSilly Game Modes\n\n\n\nAny of the following silly game modes may be picked randomly at the start of each round and each game mode lasts 4 minutes long. No game mode will be repeated. In the finals we will do 3 silly game modes ending with the Final Smash game mode. \n\n\n\nFinal Smash\nPick whoever you think has the coolest final smash and be the first to fill up your smash meter! \n\n\n\n\nFootsies\nEvery hit is a gamble with only 10 stamina to work with—land a strike\, but be careful\, or someone else might catch you back. \n\n\n\n\nMinion Master\nAssist Trophies are dropping—grab them first\, control the battlefield\, and defeat your opponents’ assists for extra points. \n\n\n\n\nRampage\nThe bigger\, the better! Start large and collect mushrooms to grow to gigantic proportions and crush your foes in this wild\, destruction-filled battle inspired by the classic Rampage. \n\n\n\n\nSalute The Sun\nHotheads are your key to victory—hit them to make them bigger\, then use your character’s reflector or Franklin Badges to take control and set your opponents ablaze! \n\n\n\n\nSmash for Ants\nYou’re the size of a ant and can barely jump! Try and knock your opponents off stage where they can’t recover\, but watch out for mini-mushrooms that make you even weaker. Tip\, characters with b-attacks that cause them to move like Ridley’s side-b are busted in this game mode. \n\n\n\n\nHot Potato\nThe bomb’s ticking—who will it explode on? The game will spawn in sticky bombs that players can hurl at each other.
